Certificate in Barbering
SHB30516

Queensland Hairdressing Academy is very excited to announce that the SHB training package, which was endorsed on 31st March 2016 has now included a men’s barbering qualification – SHB30516 Certificate III in Barbering.

No longer will barbers be required to complete a Certificate III in Hairdressing where they have to learn colouring and chemicals. With the traditional Barber Shops on the increase the industry has recognised that Barbers require specialised training. There will now be an expectation that anyone that works in a Barber salon will require this new qualification.

The SHB30516 Certificate III in Barbering allows you to fast-track your barbering career and be working in the industry in just 9 months as a Fee For Service student or 3 years as an apprentice. With this course you will learn how to do head and face shaves, clipper carving and tracks, trim men’s beards and moustaches, clipper/scissor over comb techniques using tapered, graduated and layered cutting styles.

You will also undertake general salon related units like; client consultation, communication, financial transactions, safety and hygiene, product selling and stock control.

There are no entry requirements to this qualification.
